Six charities, shared around £4,000 thanks to the efforts of walkers in this year's Marriott's Marathon Charity Walk.

Hosted, and organised, by the Kearns Foundation, six people completed the gruelling 26 mile course, with a further six completing the half distance, 13 mile route and around 20 people with disabilities, and their supporters, from Norfolk Charity BUILD, took part in a 2 mile circular route.

Founding trustee James Kearns was one of those to complete the 26 miles, whilst fellow Trustee Andrew Copelin, and Adviser Alex Kearns completed the 13 mile route to raise money for the Foundation.

On 21st June, the charities to benefit from the walk met for a special celebratory reception at Norwich's Assembly House.

The charities set to benefit are:

BUILD - providing opportunities, for adults and young people with disabilities
Nelson's Journey - providing support for children in bereavement
Macmillan Cancer Support - supporting people with cancer and others affected by the illness
2nd Dereham Scout Group - challenge and adventure for young people aged 6-14
